How to play Tenzi — rules & variants
Splitzi, Stealzi, Tower Tenzi
Tenzi is a race: no turns, everyone rolls their ten dice at the same time and rerolls as fast as they can until all ten match. A round takes under a minute.

- 10 standard dice per player (or 10 shared if playing in turns).

Rules
How to play
All players roll their 10 dice simultaneously. Choose a target number. Set aside all dice showing that number. Reroll the rest. Continue until all 10 dice match.
The shout
First player to have all 10 matching dice shouts "TENZI!" and wins the round.
Variants
- Splitzi: 5 dice on one number + 5 on another.
- Stealzi: steal a die from an opponent instead of rerolling.
- Tower Tenzi: stack your dice as you go.
FAQ
- How many dice do you need for Tenzi?
- 10 dice per player, ideally a different colour each. Four players need 40 dice.
- Can you switch numbers mid-round?
- Yes, nothing stops you dropping your 3s for the 5s that keep coming up. It just costs time.
- What are the Tenzi variants?
- Splitzi (5 dice on one number, 5 on another), Stealzi (steal a die from an opponent) and Tower Tenzi (stack your dice).
