How to play Aces (Aces to the Center) — rules

Aces to the Center, Ace in the Hole

Aces is an elimination game where dice travel around the table: get rid of your aces, pass your 2s and 5s to your neighbours, and reroll the rest. Nobody is really out while a neighbour can still pass them a die.

Rules

How to play

  • All players roll their 5 dice simultaneously.
  • After each roll, some dice are removed: 1s (Aces) → go to the center (permanently removed).
  • 2s → pass to the player on your left.
  • 5s → pass to the player on your right.
  • 3s, 4s, 6s → keep and reroll.

Gameplay

Keep rolling remaining dice each turn. If you have no dice, wait — a neighbor may send you some. The game continues until all dice are in the center.

Winning

The LAST player to roll a die (the one who sends the final Ace to the center) wins.
