Trades
Websites for tradespeople.
Your customers search for your trade and your town, often from a job site or a waiting room. The site has to be found there, read in ten seconds, and hand over your number. A studio in Bordeaux, working across France.
A tradesperson rarely has a talent problem. They have an address problem. The work is good, the customers come by word of mouth, and then someone looks your name up to check before calling. If they find nothing, or a page that has not moved in years, they call the next one.
What we see most often is not a complete absence. It is a Facebook page doing the job of a shop window, a listing in a directory, or a site put together one Sunday six years ago and never opened since. All three work a little. None of them carries your own domain name, and none of them reads properly on a phone held in one hand.
A tradesperson's website does not need twenty pages. It needs to state the trade, the area covered, the jobs already done, and how to reach you, in that order, without making anyone hunt. The rest is decoration that slows the page down.
The design is never a theme reused from another client. Two plumbers in the same town with the same site are two plumbers neither of whom stands out.
What is included
Your finished jobs, in photographs
The page that convinces is not the one that talks about you, it is the one that shows the finished work. We tell you which photos to take and how.
Your trade and your town in Google
Pages are written for the searches people actually make, the ones that pair a trade with a place, not for brochure vocabulary.
A number you call with one thumb
On a phone the number is a button, not a line of text to copy out. That is the action you want to trigger.
A quote request form
With the fields that save you a pointless callback: the kind of job, the town, photos if the customer has any.
Your Google reviews on display
The reviews you already have, brought onto the site, where they reassure at the right moment.
Domain name and hosting
Included in the subscription, along with backups and updates. No technical account to open or keep an eye on.
Your changes, uncounted
A wider area covered, a service added, holidays to announce: you write, we change it.
How it works
We talk
Thirty minutes to understand your trade, the towns you cover and the kind of job you want to attract. A call, not a questionnaire.
We design
You see a mockup of the real site, with your words and your photos, before a single line of code. That is when corrections cost nothing.
We build
The site is built, tested on a phone first, and prepared for the searches that pair your trade with the towns you cover.
We ship
Domain, hosting, certificate, redirects if you already had something. There is nothing for you to do.
We look after it
Your changes, the updates, the monthly report. The site stays current instead of quietly ageing.
Questions we get asked
- I already have a Facebook page, is that not enough?
- It does some work, but it is not yours and it does not carry your name. Someone searching for your trade in your town rarely lands on it, and you can do nothing the day the page changes its rules.
- I have no photos of my work, is that a blocker?
- No, but say so at the start. We tell you what to photograph, from what angle and at what point in the job. It is the item that makes projects drift when it is ignored.
- Can I edit the site myself?
- You can, but you do not have to, and that is the difference. You write us what changes, we do it, it is included in the subscription. Nobody wants to learn a tool to correct the area they cover.
- Do you build sites for every building trade?
- Painting, electrical work, joinery, plumbing, tiling, plasterboard, tree surgery, landscaping. The trade changes what we put forward, not how we work.
- How long before it goes live?
- The timeline is given in the quote, once we know what the site has to hold. What makes it vary is almost never the build, it is when your words and your photos arrive.
- Do you only work in Bordeaux?
- The studio is in Bordeaux, the clients are all over France, and a good part of the work happens remotely anyway. Distance changes neither the price nor the timeline.
