Rules

How to play

On your turn, roll the die as many times as you want. Each result (2-6) adds to your turn total. BUT if you roll a 1, you lose ALL points for this turn and it's the next player's turn. You can choose to stop ("bank") at any time to keep your points.

Strategy

The more you roll, the more you risk rolling a 1 and losing everything. The question is: do you bank your points or push your luck? On average, it's reasonable to bank around 20 points per turn.

Winning

First player to reach 100 points (banked score) wins.

FAQ

How many dice do you need for Pig?
Just one 6-sided die. A two-dice variant exists where double 1s wipe your whole score.
When should you hold in Pig?
Around 20 points per turn is the best simple strategy on average. Near the end, play safer or riskier depending on the gap.
What happens when you roll a 1?
You lose every point from the current turn and the die passes on. Points you already banked are safe.
