Darts golf

Golf darts turns the board into a golf course. Each hole is played on the matching number, and your best dart decides how many strokes you take. Like real golf, the lowest score wins, so consistency beats the occasional spectacular shot.

Rules

Setup

  • Choose a 9 hole or 18 hole course.
  • All players start on zero strokes and take turns, three darts each.

How to play

  • Hole 1 is played on the 1, hole 2 on the 2, and so on.
  • Throw your three darts at the hole number.
  • Only your best dart on the hole counts towards your strokes.

Scoring

  • Treble: 1 stroke.
  • Double: 2 strokes.
  • Single: 3 strokes.
  • No dart in the number: 5 strokes.

Winning

The player with the lowest total number of strokes at the end of the course wins.

Tips

  • Avoid the 5 stroke penalty at all costs: a safe single is far better than a missed treble.
  • Once you have a single, you can take a free shot at the treble with your remaining darts.
