Privacy Policy

Zest is built to be as respectful of your data as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and your rights over it.

What we collect

  • Account data: email address, username, optional display name, optional avatar URL. Collected when you create an account.
  • Gameplay data: the date you played, which game, your completion time, number of errors, and whether you won. Stored to show your streaks and the leaderboard.
  • Streak and preferences: current streak per game, reminder time, whether you have Premium.
  • Device push token (only if you enable daily reminders): used solely to send the reminder notification you asked for.
  • Purchase history (only if you subscribe to Premium): handled by Apple, the App Store receipt is validated via RevenueCat.

We do not collect your contacts, your location, your photos, or your browsing history.

Where it lives

Backend data (account, scores, streaks) is stored on Supabase in the European Union. Payment data is handled by Apple and RevenueCat under their respective privacy policies. Crash reports, if enabled on a future version, will be sent to Sentry with no personal identifiers attached.

Why we collect it

  • To keep your streaks and scores synced across devices.
  • To show you the leaderboard and, later, your friends' scores.
  • To send the daily reminder notification if you asked for one.
  • To process your Premium subscription, if any.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any third-party tracking. We do not sell or share it with anyone.

Your rights

  • Access: you can see everything about you in the app (profile, plays, streak). For a full export, email the support address below.
  • Deletion: from the app, open Profile, then Delete my account. This wipes your profile, all your plays, all your streaks, your preferences, and your push tokens. It is permanent.
  • Rectification: you can edit your username and display name from Profile at any time.

Children

Zest is rated 4+ but does not target children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete the data.
