Sudden Death darts rules
Knockout
Sudden Death is a knockout game that works brilliantly with a big group. Everyone throws one visit per round and the lowest score is eliminated. There are no complicated targets, just pure scoring pressure that builds as the field shrinks.

- What you need
- A dartboard (steel tip or soft tip) and 3 darts per player.
Rules
Setup
- All players start in the game.
- Each player throws three darts per round.
How to play
- Every player throws one visit of three darts at any part of the board.
- At the end of the round, compare the scores of that round only.
- The player with the lowest score for the round is eliminated.
- Start a new round with the remaining players.
Scoring
- Every dart scores its normal value, including doubles, trebles and the bull.
- If two or more players are tied for the lowest score, nobody is eliminated that round.
Winning
The last player remaining wins.
Tips
- Throwing late in the round is an advantage: you know exactly what score you need to survive.
- When you only need a small score, aim for the big single 20 area instead of risking a treble.

- If several players share the lowest score of the round, nobody is knocked out and a new round begins.
- How many players for Sudden Death?
- At least 3, and up to 10 in Bead. The bigger the group, the bigger the tension.

- No, only the current round's visit counts. Everyone starts level again each round.
